Story
I am taking part in the North Norfolk Coast Mammoth Marathon on the 15th May. My first (and possibly only) marathon distance run. I would like to use it as an opportunity to raise money for two charities close to my thoughts, Cancer Research and Dementia UK. Unfortunately, I cannot link the two charities on as single Just Giving page so I have a page for each linked as a team. Ideally, I would like to raise funds equally for both but please fell free to select your preference. If you're happy to split your donation between them that would be greatly appreciated or donate to the lower fund if you don't have a preference. One of the team members below is is for Dementia UK and the other is for Cancer Research, or you can use these links to select them. My Nan has Dementia, she has day to day support from carers and family. Her personality also makes it easier to manage her condition. However, there are many suffers and their families that do not have this support and need more help. Dementia UK, their team and nurses provide this support for many families. www.dementiauk.org I have also had friends over the last few months whose lives have been dramatically and suddenly changed by Cancer. Also others who are still bravely battling the longer impact of young family members being treated for Cancer. Therefore I also wanted to include Cancer research in my fund raising efforts as well. www.cancerresearchuk.org The Mammoth Marathon route will follow the coast roads between Sea Palling and Sheringham, passing through Happisburgh, Mundesley and Cromer.
